MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — For Cody Clayton Eagle, fate works in mysterious ways. The 19-year-old Morgantown native is preparing for big things.
He will be touring throughout the tri-state area for the remainder of the year, and likely into the next. He’s negotiating with a record label and is expected to sign the contract soon. There are self-released songs available on Spotify. There’s a fan base that knows who he is and eagerly awaits what’s next.

MORGANTOWN — At 17, only four years after picking up a guitar, Cody Clayton Eagle is experiencing an opportunity that that many musicians have dreamed of.
The Morgantown native received a golden ticket from "American Idol" judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan and will soon head out to Hollywood to compete in the ABC series. Viewers caught a glimpse of that moment during Sunday's show.
